Hello, I am Vadiraj Kulkarni, a recent Master of Science in Computer Science graduate from The University of Melbourne seeking opportunities in the field of Software development and Data Engineering.
A passionate Software Developer who likes to dig into complex problems and always try to find elegant solutions or try to discuss with others to enhance my knowledge on a particular topic. My love for computers and software started way back when I was seven. Started playing games on my dad’s work computer which ran on Windows98. Amazed by how things work by the touch of a button on the keyboard I decided to pursue a career in Computer Science. I started studying Computer Science from my 11th grade which started with C programming in 2011. Now, 8 years later, I have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Science from B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore and a Master of Science in Computer Science degree from University of Melbourne, Melbourne.
I have completed many software development and research projects which involved data driven projects: “Social Media Analytics” and “Automatic Fact Verification System”, Distributed Systems: “Multi-Server System” and research projects: “Comparison of Blockchain based Decentralized storage systems” and “Security advances in Blockchain”.
At the end of my second semester(Nov 2018 – Mar 2019), I was offered an internship in a startup called Weyoume and the position was Software Engineer intern. My responsibilities were to study the code. The code was in C++. I was required to make modifications to the existing code and also work on the UI which was in ReactJS.
I love to learn and work with loads of different kinds programming languages and new technologies. So far I have worked with Java, C, C++, Python, Javascript, ReactJs, CouchDB, Nectar(Cloud) and Functional Programming languages such as Haskell and Prolog.
When I am home and done with my work for the day, I try to brush up on the syntax of languages and tickle my mind with Problem solving section of HackerRank. I occasionally play cricket and Table tennis.
Other than all these I am a huge FC Barcelona and a Ferrari fan. I like to watch football, F1 and documentaries about life stories of people.
